What drew me to this scene was the fact that it had so how many different little vignettes with the water flowing through it. One could use a telephoto and capture just those vignettes but with the wider image and a big print it allows the viewer to go where they want. 6.000s, Automated Frame Average
It seems that each time i visit the Mesquite Dunes, it becomes more of a challenge to find the pristine dunes. On my visit this last week, it turned out to be impossible so instead I tried to make an image with all the tracks which ends up adding another layer of interest.
The patterns from centuries of erosion remind me of rivers.

I'm having a serious hankering for some desert photography, particularly Death Valley; though I don't know when I'll be able to get out there again.
Sublime early morning light over the dunes of Sossusvlei
McWay Falls is one of the most iconic and most photographed waterfalls on the Big Sur coast. Most days at sunset, even weekdays one can find a crowd; a mixture of the selfie-takers and photographers with their cameras on tripod. I went out at dawn to capture this image and to my delight I was the only person there the entire time. There weren't any clouds to light up, so just the usual beautiful color gradients of a sunrise on the coast.
One can't help but be at awe standing at the base of these giants. I photographed these Redwoods on the California coast during one of the worst fires in 2020, hence the strange blue 'fog',
